Wonderla in Bengaluru covers more than 82 acres and is the largest theme park in South Asia. Its new Mission Interstellar attraction is the largest immersive curved LED display system in India, built with AET.
Reconstructing the Experience
In an experience economy, visitors want emotional involvement rather than physical thrill alone. Mission Interstellar is a strategic rebuild of the experience rather than an equipment refresh: frontier LED display fused with immersive narrative, moving the attraction from a ride to a gateway.
At its centre is a curved LED screen 22 m wide and 15 m high, 377.76 m² in total — the most recognisable visual installation in the region.
The screen uses AET’s QCOB technology at P2.5, delivering 8K resolution with 600 to 800 nits and IP65 protection. QCOB’s high-temperature film lamination on a multilayer board raises structural strength while balancing contrast, viewing angle and gamut, so the image holds from every seat.
45 Days, 288 Cabinets, 7,782 Modules
The system integrates 288 custom LED cabinets and 7,782 high-resolution QCOB modules, installed and commissioned in 45 days. The custom steel structure carrying it weighs 22 tonnes and took two and a half months to build, engineered to the mechanical demands of a curved wall in continuous operation.
From technical consulting and system design to site implementation, the team worked through curved-structure adaptation and seamless signal integration to deliver Wonderla’s brief: the feeling of leaving the earth.
The project is a demonstration of how display technology and narrative combine, and of AET’s move from hardware supplier to experience creator.
