On 26 December 2024, at the sixth general meeting of the Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Development Association, AET received the Technology Innovation Award for its work in direct-view LED.

Emitting material In-house work on gallium nitride direct red emission and on three-dimensional nanocolumn chips, exploring routes to better LED performance.

Intelligent IC design A new generation of control and driver IC architectures, supporting more efficient display products.

Display technology Multiple innovations in COB and MIP, lifting image quality and reliability.
Group Support
The work sits on the resources of parent company Guangdong Guangda Group, which has built a complete chain across material, chip and packaging and continues to invest.

Research centre A 10 billion RMB research and manufacturing centre at Songshan Lake in Dongguan, one of the country’s principal third-generation semiconductor development bases.

Materials Progress in gallium nitride and silicon carbide, supporting AET’s position in Mini and Micro LED.
Standards Work
AET contributes to industry standards, having helped write the technical specification for image quality in active-matrix driven LED display and the Mini/Micro LED direct-view industry white paper.
At the same meeting, AET general manager Liang Hong was re-elected as supervisor of the association.
