On 14 August, AET hosted the 2026 Red Dot and iF application workshop and design export briefing, held alongside an AET open day at its Dongguan facility. More than thirty companies attended.
The event was co-organised by the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association and Dongguan AET Display Technology. Discussion centred on international design award submissions, green certification for export, and LED display technology.
Vice-Chairman Unit
The association opened the day by presenting AET with its vice-chairman unit plaque — recognition of the company’s standing, and a mandate to take a larger role in coordinating the industry.
From Manufacturing to Brand
In the main session, AET walked attending companies through its capabilities from manufacturing to brand, and set out where it is investing: brand competitiveness, new LED display applications and international service capacity.
Industry specialists then went through the practical side of Red Dot and iF submissions, Dongguan municipal subsidy policy and Greater Bay Area carbon footprint certification — the topics companies actually need answered before they enter an award cycle or an export market.
Matchmaking
The open discussion and matchmaking session carried the day. AET’s leadership team met attendees individually to talk through technology, green manufacturing and international market entry, and the consensus in the room was that the display supply chain gains more from cooperation than from competing on the same axis.
Inside the Experience Centre
Guests then toured the AET audio-visual experience centre: six consecutive years of Spring Festival Gala visual effects, reference projects in Russia, Turkey, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Europe and the United States, and products including the consumer AT55 and the chip-integrated NX COB Ultra.
Several partners said afterwards that seeing the manufacturing floor and the application scenarios together gave them a clearer picture of AET’s technology base and global footprint than any presentation could.
