AET has been approved to establish a Guangdong doctoral workstation, among 183 organisations named by the provincial human resources and social security department.
The workstation programme is a platform for recruiting and retaining doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, providing research support, project application assistance and a route from academic work into commercialisation.
Existing Platforms
The approval adds to a list that includes national high-technology enterprise status, a Guangdong engineering technology research centre, a Guangdong intellectual property demonstration enterprise designation, a Guangdong specialised and sophisticated enterprise designation, and inclusion in Dongguan’s scaling programme and listed-company reserve.
In 2019 AET established a dual academician workstation led by a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, working on next-generation Mini and Micro LED display and holding several national key research programmes.
