At the end of 2024, DAV, the digital audio-visual engineering publication, reviewed the year’s ten benchmark LED display projects, covering outdoor naked-eye 3D, indoor immersive experience, XR virtual production, COB all-in-one units and outdoor high-definition display.
AET was included in the selection alongside nine other manufacturers, recognised for its work on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala main screen.
Why the Gala Matters as a Benchmark
The Spring Festival Gala is the largest live broadcast of the year in China, watched by hundreds of millions, and the stage has to work on camera as well as in the room: high refresh for flicker-free capture, consistent colour across a very large surface, and no failure during a live transmission.
AET has supplied the gala stage for six consecutive years. The same engineering is what the company now applies to broadcast studios, XR stages and command centres, where the requirements — reliability, camera compatibility and colour accuracy — are essentially the same.
The Year’s Themes
The projects selected across the ten companies point at where the technology is being used: outdoor naked-eye 3D as a city medium, immersive interior experience, virtual production, panelised COB all-in-one units, and outdoor high-definition display.
