The 31st World University Games ran in Chengdu from 28 July to 8 August 2023. The international broadcast centre opened on 18 July and moved to round-the-clock operation from 25 July, with close to 3,000 journalists working from it.
AET supplied the large-format displays for the media centre and for the live studio area of the Olympic channel, using AT series standard units at P0.9 to build an 8K ultra-high-definition immersive studio wall.
The games were broadcast with all-4K signal production for the first time, with 8K public signals produced for tennis and athletics, alongside free-viewpoint and cloud production techniques.
