Wushang Dream Times sits at the junction of Wuluo Road and Baotongsi Road in Wuchang, Wuhan, with about 800,000 m² of floor area over nine levels above ground and four below. It is the largest pure retail complex in the world by commercial area.
In its atrium, AET has completed a 720 m² transparent screen.
The complex is built around social use as much as retail, combining commerce, culture and tourism into a young, immersive shopping environment. The screen adds to that: a record for central China, and a landmark in its own right.
The Product
The installation uses AET’s transparent LED in 500 × 1,000 mm aluminium cabinets weighing 5 kg and 69.5 mm thick, with more than 55% transmittance, adjustable brightness and hanging installation for fast build and straightforward maintenance.
Playing, it fills the atrium with image. Switched off, it disappears and the architecture is left as it was.
The product suits atrium screens, exhibition halls, interior partitions, background walls and ceiling installations where the space has to stay visually open and daylight has to keep reaching the interior.
