Which of these is real? A sunset that takes five days to film. A presenter in a studio talking to someone who is not there. A tunnel flood found on a wall in a control room. A mechanical hand coming through a building facade above a crowded street. A cinema screen that is not a projection. A 138-inch display carried through a domestic doorway.
All of them. Each is an AET installation, and together they describe what an LED display replaces: not a screen, but a room, a set, a process or a piece of equipment.
XR Virtual Production
Extended reality has moved from experiment to standard practice in film and television production. An AET XR studio combines an LED wall, an LED ceiling and an LED floor with real-time rendering and camera tracking, so that the background exists in the camera rather than in post.
-
DCI-P3 gamut Colour built to cinema specification, so what the director sees on set is what the audience sees.
-
QCOB surface A viewing angle past 170 degrees with no reflection in the camera, which is what allows the wall to be lit like a set rather than like a screen.
-
7,680 Hz and 16-bit Refresh and greyscale sufficient for any shutter angle or frame rate, with selected LEDs and high-performance driver ICs.
-
On set, in shot What is rendered is what is recorded, so creative decisions are made during the shoot instead of after it.
-
No location, no weather Cost and schedule stop depending on where in the world the scene is supposed to be.
The same room serves broadcast, film, streaming, advertising, short-form video, games, entertainment, exhibition and cultural tourism.
Broadcast Studios
AET supplies display for 4K and 8K ultra-high-definition studios, XR studios and immersive studios: wide angle, wide gamut, high immersion and high stability, on the argument that a studio screen is judged by what the camera does with it.
-
Gala-grade Three consecutive years as main screen supplier to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and display for a number of other CCTV productions.
-
Built for camera High refresh, high contrast, wide gamut and consistency across the wall, which is what removes banding and scan artefacts on camera.
-
Immersive space A studio that reads as a place rather than as a backdrop, which changes how a presenter can move.
-
Redundancy Multiple power and signal backups, keyed connectors and hot-swappable boards, because a live broadcast has no second take.
-
Common cathode Precise power delivery and low consumption for studios running seven days a week.
Command Centres
From smart city and smart community to digital village, and across public security, procuratorate, courts, traffic, urban management, healthcare, education and entertainment, digital systems now produce more information than a room can display. LED is used because it has no size limit, no resolution limit and no viewing-angle limit.
-
One wall, many inputs Very large format at very high resolution, with a wide viewing angle, so one surface carries everything.
-
Fine pitch Panels dense enough that a data dashboard is legible from a desk, not only from across the room.
-
Arbitrary layout Images, video and platform interfaces placed and switched freely.
-
Fault location Driver ICs that report operating data continuously, so an anomaly can be traced rather than guessed at.
-
Shared picture The same information visible to every position in the room, which is what makes a decision meeting possible.
-
Managed operation Parameters adjusted for time of day and ambient conditions, with remote monitoring.
Naked-Eye 3D
Naked-eye 3D was written into national strategic emerging industry planning in 2016, and it has since become the most reliable way to make a commercial building into a landmark. The technique is not a special panel: it is content designed for a corner, played on a display with the resolution, viewing angle, low reflection, greyscale precision and gamut to carry it.
-
Footfall A reason for people to stop in front of a building, which is the whole commercial argument.
-
Content as advertising A 3D sequence has an impact that a flat poster cannot, and it is the impact that gets shared.
-
Beyond the frame The illusion depends on breaking the boundary of the screen, which is what makes it feel like an event rather than a display.
-
Site-specific Designed around the architecture, so the building and the content are one piece of work.
-
Outdoor protection Laminated modules and outdoor masking, because a landmark screen is also a screen in the weather.
LED Cinema
LED cinema is the next generation of the cinema screen, and China has put its development at the level of national industrial strategy. AET was the first Chinese company to certify both 2K and 4K ten-metre cinema screens with Hollywood DCI.
-
Dual certification Hardware and system software both certified, at 10 metres, in 4K and 2K.
-
Picture Low brightness with high greyscale, high frame rate and refresh, wide viewing angle, 16-bit-plus greyscale, HDR and accurate gamut.
-
One piece No projector and no separate screen; the wall is the display.
-
Content protection Hardware and software protection from the received stream to the projected frame, with no break on power loss.
-
Domestic supply chain Management software, playback server, sending system, receiving system and display hardware, all sourced domestically.
Beyond the cinema itself the same product serves esports broadcast, corporate events, film-themed hospitality and stage production, all of which need a bright, large, long-duration display.
Meeting All-in-One
The all-in-one category integrates a computer, a television, a whiteboard, a projector and a video conferencing terminal into a single LED display, and works with DLP, LCD and OLED equipment and with Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
-
Industrial design Thin, large and bright, on the argument that a meeting room is a room people are seen in.
-
Flat and modular A simplified modular build that holds flatness across a large panel.
-
Optional touch Multi-point infrared touch to order, with response fast enough to write on.
-
Multiple windows Rich interfacing with arbitrary window splitting, overlay and switching.
-
Compatible Works with existing equipment and systems rather than replacing a room.
-
Mounting Hanging, wall-mounted, hung or mobile, because rooms differ.
It serves remote work, distance teaching, telemedicine, video conferencing, remote operations, lectures, award ceremonies and events.
